Grameen Bank in Japan

M; Do you know about “Grameen Bank”?

F; No, I don’t. What’s that?

M; It’s a bank for the poor people built in 1983 by an Bangladeshi economist and business man Muhammad Yunus. He realized to help poor people run own business.

F; Oh…,I’ve heard of it. Did he get a Nobel Peace Prize?

M; Yes, he did.

F; Why does such a bank work for Japanese?

M; Well…, I’m not sure but it seems very interesting article to read and learn together.

  2. F; Did you know the name “Muhammad Yunus”, and “Grameen Bank”?

M; No, I didn’t know at all. I knew for the first time by this blog and articles.

F; When you read this article, how did you think?

M: To be honest, I couldn’t understand about “Grameen Bank” very well. However, I expect that Japan’s poverty problem will be improved even a little by introducing “Grameen Bank” in Japan.

By the way, it is a three day consecutive holiday from tomorrow before the summer vacation, but younger grandson’s baseball games watching and cheering are all for 3 days in our house.

F: Do you think that this try will succeed in Japan?
M: It is difficult to write my thoughts in English.
But I agree with the opinion that Japan is the poor large country.
